The 94th birth anniversary of legendary poet Jaun Elia was celebrated with great literary enthusiasm through a grand Mushaira and Shayari evening organized by Naya Ehsaas Foundation at Rajendra Bhawan, New Delhi, on 14 December 2025. The event brought together renowned poet and shayar Farhat Ehsaas, along with many popular poets, writers, and shayars from different parts of the country, who gathered to pay a heartfelt tribute to Jaun Elia’s timeless poetry and intellectual legacy. The Mushaira echoed with profound verses, philosophical thoughts, and emotional expressions, reflecting Jaun Elia’s rebellious spirit and deep literary vision. The memorable evening reaffirmed his lasting influence on Urdu literature and celebrated his 94th birth anniversary in a truly meaningful and dignified manner.

On the occasion of the death anniversary of Khuda-e-Sukhan Mir Taqi Mir, the Delhi Shayari Club and Naya Ehsaas Foundation organized a special evening. The event was held at the Press Club of India, Delhi, on Saturday, 20th September, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. The program featured renowned poets of the city — Poonam Meera, Tarkash Pradeep, Seema Bhardwaj, Mudhita Rastogi, along with many others — who presented Mir’s immortal ghazals and acquainted the audience with the profound beauty of his poetry.

On 30th August 2025, Naya Ehsaas Foundation organized a plantation drive at Ghalib Institution, Mata Sundari Lane, ITO, during which more than 200 plants were arranged. A number of saplings were planted within the institution premises, while many were distributed among members to be planted in their respective localities. The initiative was made possible through the generous contributions of members and reflects the Foundation’s commitment to environmental conservation and community well-being.

Members of the Naya Eshaas Foundation spent whole day in Tau Devi Lal Duda Old Age Home. It was a time filled with laughter, love, and memories. We had great fun and tried our best to ease their loneliness, as many of them have been left behind by their beloved families. They deserve love, care, and respect—always.

In order to bring a sense of togetherness and happiness to their faces, some of the elderly danced, sang their favorite songs, and shared jokes with one another. Others opened up about their personal experiences, creating a warm and emotional bond among the residents of the old age home. It was a day filled with smiles, connection, and the comforting feeling of being seen, heard, and truly valued.

On 14 December 2024, on the birth anniversary of Hazrat Jaun Elia, an literary gathering was organized at the National Museum Auditorium. The gathering was divided into two parts. In the first part, our era's popular poet Janab Farhat Ehsaas Sahib, famous poet Janab Azhar Iqbal ji and other poets participated in the Mushaira. In the second part, a program of ghazal singing was held in which the great tabla player Rashid Khan Thirakwa ji and Khalid Mustafa ji accompanied singer Parveen Mudgal ji on sitar! Parveen Mudgal ji enthralled the audience with her melodious voice. Jaun Elia, the favourite and famous poet of the new generation, was born on 14 December 1931 in Amroha city of Uttar Pradesh and passed away on 8 November 2002. After the demise of Jaun Saheb, people's interest in his poetry has increased a lot and he has been translated a lot in Hindi. Jaun Saheb, famous for his free thinking and unconventional style, achieved a different position in the poetry of the recent era. In the era of internet and social media, there are so many pages, websites and channels running in the name of Jaun Saheb. The number of his fans is increasing day by day and why not, Jaun Saheb has made an unprecedented addition to Urdu literature before leaving. "Jaun C" Mohtarma Seema Bhardwaj Sahiba, who considers herself his admirer, organises a function in the name of Jaun every year on his birth anniversary along with her colleagues from Naya Ehsaas Foundation. This gathering was organised this year too.

The event will commence with the Deep Prajwalan Ceremony, symbolizing enlightenment and the profound essence of Jaun Elia's poetic legacy. Members of the NGO organized a clothing distribution drive, gathering generous donations from the local community. A one-day career counseling workshop was organized for the girls at the orphanage, led by career counseling expert Mrs. Anshika Kaur, a dedicated member of the NGO. This workshop aimed to inspire and guide young girls in identifying their strengths and exploring potential career paths. Mrs. Kaur provided valuable insights into various career options, the skills required for different fields, and the importance of setting achievable goals.

Sanitary napkins were distributed to the girls at Maika Sweet Home Girls Ashram in New Delhi, aiming to support their menstrual hygiene needs. This initiative was part of a larger effort to ensure that young girls in care facilities have consistent access to essential hygiene products. The distribution drive not only provided much-needed sanitary supplies but also reinforced the message of self-care and health education among these young girls, empowering them with the knowledge and resources they need to manage their menstrual health confidently and safely.

In an effort to combat environmental degradation and promote sustainability, our NGO organized a large-scale plantation drive, bringing together volunteers, community members, and nature enthusiasts. The initiative aimed to restore green cover by planting native trees in under-served areas, contributing to cleaner air, enhanced biodiversity, and improved soil quality. Each participant was encouraged to not only plant a tree but also commit to its ongoing care, fostering a sense of responsibility and connection to nature. Through this plantation drive, we strive to make a lasting impact on our environment, creating greener, healthier spaces for future generations.
